Dr.Winta has a Double DEC in social science with a major in child psychology from John Abbott College. She then pursued her education to complete her medical degree in Neuropsychology from the University of McGill School of Medicine. Winta practiced at Catherine Booth Therapeutic Hospital in Canada, Helping Hands Healthcare Agency, CLSC Local Community Service Center of Cote des Neiges in Canada, JGH Jewish General Hospital, and volunteered in Ethiopia.
Dr.Winta began after completing her Medical Degree from the College of Medicine University of Mcgill in Montreal. She started working for a large hospital, where she quickly rose through the ranks thanks to her intelligence, hard work, and strategic thinking. She established Shalom healthcare solutions in the USA and purchased her first business Clinical Healthcare institution “Home care franchise, in Springfield, VA.
Shalom Healthcare Solutions was founded by Dr.Mehari Winta when she realized the dire need for medical professionals, services, and medical equipment, as there is a lack thereof in the market. With this in mind, her primary mission was not just to be your average healthcare provider providing the usual medical services but to tap into the business side of medicine and to fill the need for the lack of medical equipment being supplied. That said, she took matters into her own hands to provide healthcare systems with the essential medical equipment and supplies they need to better serve patients by partnering with the world’s leading healthcare companies.
Shalom Healthcare Solutions is a company that serves Canada, the USA, and Ethiopia. Initially established in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in 2018, Shalom Healthcare Solutions was created to manufacture medical and Surgical equipment and Orthopaedic Appliances and is expected to be one of the massive Medical Equipment Manufacturing companies in the continent of Africa. Dr.Mehari established (SMMCG) Shalom Mobile Medical Clinic Global in Ethiopia in 2023.SMMCG is a mobile quality healthcare service based to help the community by providing quality Healthcare access by connecting our healthcare professionals from USA &Canada via telemedicine. Shalom Mobile Medical Clinic Global and its many partners regularly deploy mobile clinics and medical teams. Since our doors opened in 2022, our goal at Shalom Healthcare Solutions has had a positive impact by establishing our Shalom-Mobile Medical Clinic and playing a role in improving the availability of quality Healthcare to society in partnership with several local and international nonprofit organizations since our motto states “Healthy Healthcare Together Forall.”
Dr.Winta’s vision for Shalom Healthcare Solutions Global is precisely to be the leading medical equipment manufacturing company not only in the continent of Africa but in the World and close the wide open gap of PPEs between demand and supply in the premises of Healthcare institutions. To establish SHS globally with a legacy of producing PPEs that respects Healthcare ethics and fulfils the qualification of WHO, EU, and both USA & Canada FDAs worldwide that will be built under the respected franchise policy since using quality PPEs plays a role in saving lives in so many different ways.
Dr.Winta’s success did not go unnoticed, and she was soon recognized as a rising star in the Healthcare profession and business world. USIDHR awarded her a certificate for pursuing the Human Rights and Diplomatic Protocol and Etiquette course in Washington, DC. She was also awarded by student financial bursary from CEGEP John Abbott in 2016 for being a ranking student and helping the student community. She was awarded the Pan African Summit of 2021. She was later designated also as an ambassador of ERSA in Canada. In addition to all of Dr. Winta’s achievements, as of April of 2023, Dr. Winta is now the ambassador of UNASDG IGO for London, the UK, in Ethiopia.
Despite her many achievements, Dr.Winta remains grounded and focused on her work. She is a role model for young women and aspiring entrepreneurs, demonstrating that anyone can succeed in business with hard work, dedication, and a clear vision.
